Broadcom 440x can be installed in windows 7 by using have disk method:
1. Install this drivers:  ftp://ftp.dell.com/network/R154493.EXE
2. Ignore if error, Open device manager by click start and type DEVMGMT.MSC
3. Right click on Ethernet Controller marked with yellow triangle. Select update driver.
4. Select "Broese my computer for..."
5. Select "Let me pick from a list..."
6. Select HAVE DISK and Click Browse.
7. Point to C:Dell\drivers\R154493\WinXP and select b44win.inf
8. Continue with on-screen installation until finish.
(driver also available through Microsoft automatic update or "Microsoft update catalog". Select Version 4.60.0.1, dated 13/10/2008.)
